How to repair a large tear in a black leather jacket?

Posted by bibou on Monday, January 28, 2013

Q. My son has a nice leather jacket that got caught in his bike chain when he had it tied around his waist biking home. The tear started at the cuff of the pocket and has torn 2 or 3 inches toward the front near the zipper

What's the best way to repair it? It does have a liner. Is anything better than just using duct tape on the inside?

A. Take it to a shoe repair store for their advice. Amazing the things they can do.

How do I repair a small tear on a leather jacket?
Q. The tear does not go all the way through. Is there anything I can use to repair it? or what places will do a repair job?

A. for best results I would go to a taylor. They do make a liquid leather for leather and vinyl repai, but I would not recommend it

How much would repairing a rip in a leather jacket cost?
Q. My boyfriend ripped his new leather jacket. The tear is relatively clean (not frayed), and about 3-4 inches long. The liner underneath is not ripped. Any idea on a quote, and timeframe? I don't want to take it to the tailer, when it would be cheaper to get a new jacket.

A. I took mine to a shoe repair place that advertised that they also fix other leather items. They used an adhesive that was applied to the inside and even though I know where the tear is (which was about the same size as yours), I have trouble finding it. My coat is very thin leather, the repair was only $20, and I got it back in a couple of days. Some things are best done by professionals, and I wouldn't even think of attempting something like that on an expensive garment. You'd have to find a tailor that worked with leather and it's really a simple process, just not one you want to try yourself, so I'd check your local yellow pages to find someone.

How can I repair a 1/4 inch tear in my leather jacket? See below for more details.?
Q. The rip occurred when my sleeve got snagged on a door post. The rip is all the way through (you can see the cloth liner inside). Is there a kind of glue that can be used? Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.

A. This is the sort of thing I'd take to a leather specialist... I suspect it's going to be barge cement for a cheap fix or replacing all or part of the sleeve for the "better fix". (I'd consider putting a trim piece over the hole myself).

Motorcycle shops usually know who are the good leatherworkers in the area.

Q. I Bought A $300 REAL pigskin leather jacket about 2 months ago. I Wore it oneday and it started raining and now it has a sueded texture. How can i fix this? PLEASE HELP!!??

A. Take it to a leather specialists.

How can I repair stitch holes in a leather jacket where a badge has been removed?

Posted by bibou on Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Q.

A. You can't. Holes in leather are permanent. You may be able to cover it with something - a decorative pin, a badge, a leather design glued on.

Can I use shoe polish to repair a leather jacket???
Q. My boyfriend is flying from Europe to the U.S. tomorrow and there's a abbrasion (wear) mark (about 2 inches wide) on his leather coat from carrying a heavy backpack. This abbrasion has made the leather in this area lighter brown than the rest of the coat. I don't have one of those leather repair kits you see on TV. Has anyone ever tried using shoe polish on a leather coat? Or where in the states can you buy a leather repair kit. Please specify the store names.

And one more question. I have a white leather jacket with a blue pen mark. I've tried "Quick n Brite" and stain remover for pens. It doesn't come out. Any suggestions? If you scrub too hard you damage the leather.

A. Do not use shoe polish as this will not stay on the finish and will make matters worse. Also do not use any repair items 'as seen on TV' as these are not recommended by the technicians in the industry. Most of them are supplied by companies who have no idea what they are doing.

Usually store bought products do not work and you would be much better leaving it and having it looked at by a proper technician.

A pen mark on leather can possibly removed by an ink remover (available from the people below) but it is best left to a technician again as they may need solvents to remove it and then they will be able to fix the finish as well.. As you say if you scrub too hard or use the wrong products you will daamge the finish on the leather.

How to Repair a Leather Jacket?
Q. I had this leather jacket jacket that I have had for about 7 years, and because of it's age the leather is getting worn. There are no tears in the leather, it is just getting dull looking. Is there a way to repair that and bring it back to its leather shine?

A. Go to a tailor, they often have supplies for maintaning clothes :)

Need a black leather jacket repaired?
Q. My husband stupidly stuck a sticker (name tag) on his expensive Italian black leather jacket. When he took it off, he ripped little pieces of the leather off with the sticker. Now you can see a huge outline across his chest of where the sticker used to be.

What can we do now?? We don't know any place who repairs leather and we're afraid they might do a botched-up job. Please help.

PS - Any places in NY?

A. Ugg! Gosh, who would have thought a simple sticker could cause such damage?? I also learned the hard way to never stick anything to my clothing, ever. But, in the future, if you MUST stick a name tag to your clothing, it is best to first quickly stick and unstick it to a garment several times to pick up lots of lint, making the sticker less sticky, so when you go to remove it, it is not stuck.

Leather is a very tricky "fabric" to repair because it is actually a hide and has no weave making up the fibers. I know vinyl can be repaired with melting a substance on the tear to bring it back together, but I doubt highly that would work for leather. The thing about leather is that once a needle hole penetrates the hide, that hole is there for good. Sewing this tear would only highlight
the area with thread and holes. A seamstress is not the professional you need to seek help for this repair.

Contact a luggage, pocketbook or leather car seat repair shop. Someone who specializes in leather repair is your best option. Special techniques and tools are used to make the repair less conspicuous by these professionals. Look through the yellow pages for businesses who specialize in seamless leather repair. Ask to see completed work and ask questions about how they intend to do the work and the expected results. If you are not 100% satisfied with their answers or you get the least bit of an odd feeling, take your jacket and move on to find another person to help you.

Good luck.

What do you do to clean a leather jacket?

Q. I have a Members Only leather jacket (Could use a little cleaning) but I don't know how to clean it. How do you clean a leather jacket?

A. KB is right! Don't risk ruining it. And be sure to take it to one that specializes in leather and suede

What is the best way to clean a leather jacket?
Q. I have a lambskin black leather coat. Since all the bad weather lately it has little spots on it. They look similar to water spots like your dishwasher may leave on your dishes. What is the best way to remove them?
Where can I get saddle soap?

A. Please do not use saddle soap it may do it a lot of damage.

If it is a lambskin with the wool still on it it will have to be treated like suede and also needs a good wterproofing protector on it to help stop this kind of thing happening. If you use saddle soap on this type of leather you will ruin it.

How to clean a leather jacket without drycleaners?
Q. Okay so a friend of my moms gives me and my sis some clothes from like garage sales and such. I wound up with this awesome beautiful leather jacket. but it smells soooo bad! like someone just out their cigarettes butts out on the animal and then tore it's skin off! i don't want to pay $40 on getting it cleaned unless i absolutely have to. Can i toss it in the washer? i already tried air-ing it out, gentle cleaners, leather cleaners and spraying it with some air freshener. help!!!!

A. For the love of God, don't throw it in the washer. I'm sorry to say that you're just gonna have to bite the bullet, and take it to the cleaners. One good thing about it thought is that you can't buy a good leather jacket for over 100.00, so you really got a good deal since it was free.

How can I clean a leather jacket?
Q. Collar stained from skin oils.

A. Leather garments requires the services of a professional dry cleaner. A do-it-yourself job can only lead to disaster.

How do you clean a leather jacket?
Q. My dog somehow managed to pee on my boyfriend's leather jacket. It's just a little bit, the jacket isn't soaked in pee or anything. I was wondering if there is an at home way to clean a leather jacket, or if we'll be forced to pay for dry cleaning?

A. â¢To clean your jacket, wet a sponge or cloth with a little bit of mild soap or clothing detergent and water. Wipe the jacket all over with the cloth, but don't scrub. Rinse by wiping a damp cloth using plain water until all of the soap residue is gone.

â¢Sponge up any excess water with a dry cloth, and hang the jacket where it can dry at room temperature.

â¢To prevent cracking, you should rub in oil specially made for leather garments ( You can find that in Wal-Mart or Target and other stores), after your jacket is fully dried.

how much does a ticket cost on the marc train from new york to baltimore?

Amtrak on the other hand does.

The fare from NY Penn Station to Baltimore's Penn Station ranges from $64 to $110 one way depending on the NE Regional train and $148 for the Acela Express.

You can get MARC trains at Baltimore's Penn Station

Marc Jacobs store in New York?
Q. I'm going to New York in December and I'm going to go to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store on 384 Bleecker St.

I heard it's one big inter-connected store of accessories, special items, mens, womens, etc. is this true?

I also heard that the people who work there are really rude, again true?

And one more thing, do they ever have any sort of sales or deals?

Any general info. on this store is appreciated. Thanks!

A. Hey! Do you mean the one on Bleecker St. 385? Haha, there's a "Little Marc Jacobs" on 382 and a "Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories" one in Bleecker St. 385.

Ok, now I'll assume you are a woman. So I wil recommend ANOTHER one of their stores in NYC. It's the one on 403 to 405 Bleecker St. that sells "Women's Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, Shoes" which will have a lot more selection than the one on Bleecker St. 385. So if I were you I'd go to the 2nd one cause they have a lot more merchandise.

Now, the employees may or may not be mean. Some of them really are little brats who won't treat you well unless you're wearing the new Ready-To-Wear of Louis Button and Marc Jacobs. So, I suggest that you war your best clothes and hope for the best :D They have sales depending on their season merchandise,. Considering the new collection is Fall/Winter 2009 for most fashion houses, their sales for that will be in February because in March their 2010 Spring/Summer merchandise hits their stalls.

I've never been to NYC so I don't know how it will be but I hope it surpasses your expectations. Hope it works out ;D

Cheers!

-Alex

EDIT:

To dkny6_98, Marc Jacobs has four clothing lines. Marc Jacobs is his most expensive then comes Marc by Marc Jacobs (which isn't useless cheap accessories. This has 2 catwalk shows a year and most of their stuff goes for more than $500), then he has "Little Marc Jacobs" which is kids wear and pretty expensive, and then there is "Jacobs by Marc by Marc Jacobs". The last one I mentioned is the one that sells cheap accessories and it is referred to as his "Affordable clothing line". You might have mixed it up because their tags say "Marc by Marc Jacobs" instead of "Jacobs by Marc by Marc Jacobs". That is probably because it's just TOO long ;D. So yeah I just wanted to clear that up :)

What is Marc New York?
Q. Is Marc New York by Marc Jacobs i love one of the purses and I was wondering if it is the same designer! Thanks

A. Marc New York is by Andrew Marc, not Marc Jacobs. Marc Jacobs does his own line and one called Marc by Marc Jacobs (MBMJ).

https://www.andrewmarc.com/
https://www.andrewmarc.com/marcnewyork/

Does anyone know Marc Anthony the New York-Rican?
Q. The question might make it sound as if I am gay. Well I am not. I am a musician and seek the opportunity to play in any of his concerts or work in the studio. I am 20 years old and there is no better music than italian music and his. True fan since I was 8 yrs old, the first Record and the Long hair. To be taken seriously only, email me at fammo386@yahoo.com

A. Yes, hes a great salsa singer, from NY, currently married with J.Lopez and honestly I don't see why your question is gay.

When is the best time to sell a ski jacket on Ebay?

Posted by bibou

Q. Is it early in the season where not a lot of people put their jacket on ebay and their isnt too much compitition, or is it better to put it on durring the season when everybody is looking, but many jackets are already on there??????????

A. About a month ago. December and January are the worst time to sell anything on eBay, period, and most people already have their ski duds.

what is the best way to wash a snowboard/ski jacket mine is a burton the whitecollection cargojacket white/tan
Q. i went snowboarding and got some dirt and grass stains on it. i tried scrubing it off with a sponge but it wouldnt come off. is it good to put it in the washer machine and dry it? thanks

A. Most fabrics can be washed in a machine. There should be care instructions with the garment, or check on the manufacturer's website. Use a specialist product like Nikwax (available from outdoor equipment stores).

What is the best parka / jacket for skiing?
Q. I want something warm, but not too bulky.

A. One way to prevent bulk is to layer. A single bulky jacket will not keep you as warm as several layers of clothing. I prefer to wear a synthetic base layer, a mid layer (like a turtle neck), a fleece jacket or pullover for warmth, and then an uninsulated outer layer for wind and weather resistance (sometimes called a powder jacket). On the really cold days (less than 15F), I substitute an insulated ski coat for the powder jacket. Using these layers (or subtracting from them on warmer days) gets me through the ski season just fine.

For the powder jacket and insulated ski coat, look for ones that have very high ratings for breath-ability and wind resistance. The last thing you want to do is wear clothing that will trap moisture against your body.

What is the best snow skiing jacket to buy?
Q.

A. One that fits, and suits your style in color and design. Make sure it's waterproof, windproof and breathable, has enough pockets for your needs, a hood to keep your hat & head dry in bad weather, a storm flap over the front zipper, and adjustable cuffs on the wrist. Spyder, Obermeyer, Columbia, North Face are all excellent brands. And LLBean.com and landsend.com have great jackets for skiing too.

Best color ski pants for blue jacket?
Q. I have a blue ski jacket (not dark blue, more royal blue) what color ski pants would look good? Would black be ok? Any other suggestions, TIA

A. I have worked in a shop for eight years, the number one selling color is always black. You can wear black pants with just about any jacket including blue. I would suggest black unless you find some awesome looking pants that will match the jacket.

Q. Also, what is the best kind or the best kind for the money?

A. the best is under armour and you can get it at most sporting goods stores, it is expensive but it is worth the money.

What brand and material is best for comfort and warmth when buying thermal underwear?
Q. I currently have the type that is cotton and polyester with the waffle woven design. They are itchy and chafe. Under Armour seems a bit expensive.

A. Go with the Under Armour Cold Gear. It may be a little more expensive, but it's worth it. Since winter is almost over, you should be able to find it on sale.

Where is the best place to get thermals (long underwear)?
Q. Are there any good stores or good brands? I'm looking for something that will keep me real warm, but not too expensive.
I'm particularly looking for tops.

A. Ebay.com

Best Thermal Underwear?
Q. I am one of those people who unfortunately gets cold very easily. What is the warmest thermal/long underwear/base layer that you have worn. Any recommendations?

A. Silk is a good suggestion for something very lightweight. If you're moving around a lot and you might sweat, then consider something made of merino wool. It'll wick the sweat away while keeping your body warm, ensuring that you won't be wet and cold.

Spyder North Face or Oakley Ski jacket?

Posted by bibou on Saturday, January 12, 2013

Q. have a choice between the:
Spyder sentinel: http://www.spyder.com/products/mens/jacket/jacket/516-sentinel/color/2072

Northface Atlas triclimate: http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/mens-jackets-vests-filter-category-triclimate-0174/mens-atlas-triclimate-jacket.html

or the Oakley motility: http://www.oakley.com/products/motility-jacket/411568-40Z

I am very very torn, which one should I choose? I am getting pretty good deals on al of them, around 200$ but I am looking to stay under 215$, so if you know any, that would be great, Thanks,
Jay.
I am looking for a warm jacket, not horribly insulated, <80g would be great. Of course it has to look nice, dont want to wear something downright ugly for the price, personally, I think all three look OK. Thanks

A. The North Face is definitely the least jacket for the money, despite its three-in-one feature. Fleece is a 30 year old technology and won't be as warm as the Thinsulate-insulated Oakley and Spyder. The Spyder uses stretch fabric, which is really nice and prevents the jacket from feeling bulky and heavy. My store carries the Oakley, and while it's the (currently, these things change year to year) most fashionable of the three you're looking at, its also very heavy and doesn't move terribly well. I'd say if you want a more functional jacket and don't care about fashion, get the Spyder, if you want a stylish and warm jacket that isn't as functional get the Oakley.

Q. I recently cleared out the attic at my aunts house and found some old raincoats in a box, two shiny cotton backed PVC Macs and my cousin's old green school mackintosh. the green one is lined with green rubber with a hood, its really old and dirty from wear and it smells of old rubber. my aunt was going to throw them out but i ended up keeping them, although i like them i worry about keeping these old things.

I love seeing women in black PVC macs, there's something sexy about it.

A. I can lend you my raincoat and axe.

why are female comic book characters always either half naked or really sexy?
Q. i noticed that almost all women in comic books are always half dressed or are wearing revealing clothes, or their breasts are always so big. i was reading x-men comic books and all of the female mutants are dressed in sexy clothes like rouge and psylocke and even the young ones. and in avengers comics black widow's jump suit is always zipped up to her chest only. like, their shirts always have to show cleavage or something.

A. Depends upon which specific comic books (and which era) you're reading. Character's costumes usually get updated to keep them on the cutting edge.

Just like real-world fashion, bolder revealing styles are much more the norm nowadays, compared to 40 years ago. Miniskirts, bare midriff tops etc would have been scandalous back then, and swimsuits were typically made from twice as much material as today.

Compare the original supergirl costume to today's version:
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhipVzrg8xqcfazUPauoe8Jjb4ar4efqappN_ZmI4UuFfuIoSLHHdSYhZB1iP8jq0q2dLgxnfxq0XMaHw0kNh9rO0hvk5Ec2KrD8lCk_ElJlGqPDt0BryKKZocCS8baKuCVeLCYO_qHGbDx/s1600/ACTION+COMICS+252001.jpg
http://theouthousers.com/wiki/images/5/52/Supergirl-Today.jpg

Look at these original Marvel costumes from the 1960's:

http://www.comicsbulletin.com/soapbox/images/0807/xmen60s.jpg
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUK53z-ngYKCtFyN5OMC2bNLj491bJJquJwWX_Hpd_wzZxxKZI8DqulMmwkLx_s3FN98B1eh1YZFYpGGl9aO57Ezi7DBdkNZ_cv0VrWo-Jwoc8ThfjdUd8oz0xSZsY4yGr6KDkmKx-orav/s400/super+hero+women.jpg

Not all female characters have skimpy outfits- for example the Black Widow's original bodysuit stayed zipped up for a good 30 years. Teenage Jubilee wore a huge yellow raincoat, shorts and high-necked shirt- not exactly revealing. Rogue's costumes over the years have pretty much kept her covered from head to toe, which makes sense considering the nature of her powers. DC comics recently gave Wonder Woman a makeover that added leggings and a jacket instead of the skimpy leotard she's been wearing for decades.

As for the big breasts, that's just a given... like male superheroes having ridiculously large muscles. Everybody is drawn larger than life, exagerrated in some way. Even wiry eggheads like Reed Richards and Dr Strange look pretty buffed.

What song should i sing for my audition?
Q. I am a kinda bad singer but our school is having a musical i really love to act. what song can i sing to cover my bad voice so i can get a part in my school musical? The musical we are doing is Joseph and the Technicolor Raincoat but im not sure i can sing anything from it. I also have to do a dance and read something to prove i can act, any ideas for what i could do for both of those would be great. Thanks.
The play is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

A. Going to an audition for dance? Here are some tipsâ¦

Greetings everyone. I know Iâve been concentrating a lot on acting auditions the past few weeks, and Iâve received some requests to write about a few different areas of talent. I did some research (mainly asking my industry friends), and came up with some brief points that every dancer should consider when preparing for a dance audition. Letâs dive straight into it.

1. Dance Attire
This is kind of a no-brainer, and not just for dance auditions but any jobâ¦dress nicely. Yes, you are auditioning to be a dancer, but itâs still a job. This doesnât only apply to your dancewear. Comb your hair, be clean, you have to look appropriate and self-respecting. Donât wear your training dancewear to an audition. You can wear your warm-ups on the way to the audition if you know youâll be warming up, which you should. However, be sure to wear dance attire during your dance audition that accents your features, flatters you and shows the casting director exactly why they should hire you without being too ostentatious. No gaudy jewelry or massive amounts of makeup.

Now, each dance audition is different when it comes to the appropriate dance attire, including footwear. Ballet, modern dance, jazz, tap and others all call for different dancewear. Traditional dancewear relevant to the type of dance youâre auditioning for is designed for that specific dance, and should be worn unless otherwise requested by the auditioners. It is easy to find out the standard dancewear for your audition by searching them on the Internet or asking a local store that sells them (ex: ballet; tights and leotard for women, tights and T-shirt for men).

2. What You Need To Bring
This goes back to some other articles that Iâve written for acting, â4 Tips for Great Actor Headshotsâ and â10 Acting Audition Tipsâ, but definitely translates into dance auditions. Bring a resume and portfolio. This includes a one-page summary of your experience, accomplishments, acknowledgements and contact information, as well as some headshots and full body shots in various dancewears. Be sure to write you contact information on the back of your photographs. That might be the only thing a casting director or agent has when they decide they want you.

3. Stay Calm
Confidence is everything. Even if you know all of the dance moves, if youâre not confident when performing them, your audition will come off as awkward. Everyone is nervous, even the auditioners, but you have to get past that and do what you came to do. First, try to realize why you are nervous. Sure, it could be that you really want the part or this is a huge opportunity. However, those feelings generate more excitement than anxiety. Those jitters you can handle. Itâs the audition itself that is the problem. You probably arenât used to the process and itâs placing you outside of your comfort zone. A good way to get past this feeling or at least cope with it (you should always be a little on edge, keeps you sharp and on your toes), is to go on auditions that youâre not interested in so you can become familiar with the process and comfortable being there. Itâs like job interviews that Iâve been on. The first few interviews you sweat, draw blanks, and mumble a lot. But after those initial embarrassments, you understand what kind of questions they will ask, how to behave and project yourself, and basically what to expect.

Also, try recording yourself and posting it on media sites like Talent Trove. There, you can ask for feedback from peers and see yourself as others would. Self-criticism is just as important as receiving it from others. If you can learn what is right and wrong, you will have a better understanding of performances.

4. What They Want
They want you to bring it. By âitâ I mean your passion, professionalism and ability. Obvious and a little corny, I know, but it had to be said in case you lost sight of this in light of everything written here. With that being said letâs discuss what else they want from you. They want you to follow directions. If youâre supposed to perform some choreographed dance combo than you better do it. Donât make up your own routine or daydream through the demonstration. There will be a time and place to show off your range, ability and creativity when it comes to your own dance ideas, but doing what they ask is a sign of discipline, open-mindedness and ability to work with others.

They also donât want you to give up if you make a mistake. Like anything you do, it shows a lot of character when you fall and pick yourself up to try again. The less hesitation you show between falling and rising, the better. They want you to be courteous not only to them, but to the other dancers. This goes back to being professional. If no one wants to work with you, no one will. They usually have a certain type of dancer in mind when auditioning. You could be the best dancer in the room, but donât take it too hard if they choos

Q. its a casual dress or something you'd wear on a beach

A. To wear in a party or on your way to a party?
Will you be keeping it on all evening?
What is the weather going to be like?
Want to look casual or dressy?
With heels or flats?
Ask yourself these questions...

What are some of this fall's hottest trends?
Q. any specific eras, designers, brands, pieces, colors, or stores?
what about acessories
also what is deffinitely 'out" for this season?

A. * Top Fashion Trends for Fall-Winter 2005-2006 *

Yellow gold, ultra-long necklaces, and dangly earrings were among the top jewelry trends seen by the fashion experts at Thefinerblings.comat the Fall 2005 shows during New York's Fashion Week.

According to the fashion experts at www.thefinerblings.com, the following is the top fashion trend forecast for Fall-Winter 2005-2006.

Belts: Look for wide belts studded with grommets, stone, turquoise, rhinestones or coins. We are seeing them worn low on the waist on top of knits. Thin belts worn a little higher (on top of sweaters or jackets) creating a narrow waist is also mod for Fall.

Black is back making a comeback after pinkâs reign. Worn with navy, it is especially chic this season.

Bohemian style will continue its dominance through the Fall. Must-haves for the âboho lookâ are cowboy boots with embroidery, knee-length skirts, long necklaces, menâs blouses and horse-riding bags.

Double wrapped necklaces worn, one strand hugging the neck, the other hanging long.

Flats are everywhere. Embellished with a buckle, flower, stones, or crystals. It's all good.

Fur: Sorry animal lovers, but fur is strong yet again. However, this is not to say we cannot wear faux fur. In fact, we recommend it.

Jet Black and Tigerâs Eye Beads garlanded on pendants, necklaces and bracelets are the fresh stones of the season.

Layered Necklaces are picking up steam. The celebrities started this trend last season and it is stronger then ever for Fall.

Long (beaded) Necklaces were in vogue last season but, for Fall, they seem to be getting even longer. We are seeing them hang below the waist with chunky beads, pearls and turquoise.

Metals: Brassy and vintage-looking metals are chic. They can be hammered or adorned with vintage-looking motifs. Try mixing your metal jewelry with jewelry made from earthy materials and brightly colored gemstones.

Military jackets, blazers, and suits are staple for Fall and Winter.

Oversized pendants sparkled in a variety of hues, reinforcing the luxe look of the designer's fur-laden designs in shades of eggplant, lavender, espresso and caramel.

Santa Fe Style: Beginning last season, southwestern style clothing and accessories continue to govern through Fall.

Sixties Style: This Fall, take inspiration from sixties peasant dressing. Revel in fringe, velvet, tassels, embroidery, embellishment, full skirts, and chunky jewelry. Anything goes.

Turquoise and corals are holding strong for Fall! Look for chile colored coral beaded jewelry and belts.

Yellow gold jewelry is hot. Though we have been talking about it for an entire season, it is finally official.

Hobo and classic frame bags with brass studs and hardware or romantic rosettes are Fallâs âIt Bagsâ

Flat boots in any denomination are graceful (and comfortable) for this season.

Platform heels have made their pledge and are back with gusto.

*For make-ups:

This fall season's shades blend seamlessly with skin, making it easier than ever to create a polished look that's warm, creamy, and totally nude. Nudes are universally flattering and incredibly sexy because they enhance a woman's true beauty and really let it show through.

Think soft matte neutrals for eyes paired with creamy cheeks and natural-looking lips -- all complete the monochromatic look seen on the fall runways.

Nude eyes: This season, try neutral shades for eyes. The look is skintone-inspired colors for your lids, lined with a rich brown color. Finish with two coats of black mascara.

Creamy cheeks: Use a cream blush for a more dewy look. A pop of color should give your cheeks a natural flushed look.

Natural, creamy lips: For fall, lips are all about texture. Look for nude shades in gloss or matte, that look like your lips, only better. Choose a stick or gloss to create different looks.

what do you think of this faux fur jacket?
Q. Ive been looking for a faux fur jacket as they are everywhere this season and very on trend and super cosy for the winter months but i was wondering which one to get as theres so many on offer.

I was thinking of this one from river island. it doesnt photograph quite as well as what it looks in person but its true to the color etc.

honest opinions?
http://www.riverisland.com/Online/women/coats--jackets/faux-fur-coats/dark-purple-chelsea-girl-faux-fur-coat-606634

A. I personally really like it, but I know some people on here won't just because everyone has different opinions on more daring fashion choices like that. If you like it, you get it. It's one of the nicer faux fur jackets I've seen around, so if you want one this one is a good one to get. Look around a bit first. It sucks when you buy one and then find one you prefer a while later.

what styles are in for 13 year old girls?
Q. Im 13 and i wanna find cute clothes to wear that match the style right now.

A. Anything from:

Pacsun
Hollister
Forever 21
Rue 21
Charlett Russe
Zumies
Aeropostale
Rave
Vanity
Plato's Closet (though you have to be a bit more weary here)
American Eagle
Abercrombie
etc...

I also love Penney's if you get the chance to check that out :)
I'll post more be recycling if I can find the right one.

EDIT:
Here's some stuff from my recent answers:

Must-Haves for Fall 2009:

Peeptoe boots (heeled)
Full skirt
Denim mini & leggings
Short dress
Maxi Dress
A halter
Cardigan
Short Sleeved Hoodie
Bright Shorts
Skinny Jeans
Cropped jackets
Biker Jackets
Studded Anything (hardwear)

Layering is hot right now in the transition from summer to fall, so don't be afraid to pile on four or five of these staples!

The boho look is still in and going stong. Try to channel it with items like these:

Fringed shoes & Bags
Peace signs on clothes, shoes, bags, belts, jewelry, etc.
Bell bottom jeans
Woven belts
Hippy Headbands
Flouncy miniskirts
Faded denim
Wavy Hair
Natural makeup
Wooden Accessories
Florals
Wooden Bangles
Vests
Neutral, knee high boots

Oh, and 80's for sure!
Women are wearing legwarmers and shoulder pads again. The 80's attitude was wild and free, nobody seemed to have any worries. The clothing matched the mood as it does now with neon colors & studded belts.
Men are wearing skinny ties and rediscovering the joys of pinstripes. Polo Ralph Lauren was a major brand then, and Ralph Lauren in going strong again.
The rocker look of the 80's is coming back in the form of leggings, heeled ankle boots, skinny jeans, off the shoulder tops, bleached or tie-died jeans, jumpsuits/rompers, acid wash, burnout tops, animal print, zippers in strange places, and wild color combinations.

Some other fall 2009 trends are:
Fringed clothing
Sheer or see-through fabric (only small touches of this, however)
Romanesque dresses
One-shoulder tops & dresses
Tribal
Bohemian
Butterflies
Midriff tops
Jewel-encrusted clothing
Statement Jewelry
Fringed shoes
Exotic Detailed Shoes
Gladiator Shoes
Reptile Leather
Lace-up Heels
Shoes With Ankle Straps
Feature Heels
Ripped & Torn Jeans
Boyfriend Jeans
Vivid, Saturated Colors
Neon Pink
Statement necklaces
One shoulder dresses
Leather pants
Liquid leggings
Chains (more specifically on boots)
Shouldar pads. Ha! I wouldn't wear these ever. They don't look good on almost anyone.
Statement gloves (leather, patterner, fingerless, to your elbows etc.)
Edgy Little Black Dress
Velvet Mini dress
Accordian pleats
Sequins (Be daring. Wear 'em in the daytime)
Fur (Faux or vintage only)
Strapless reffled dress
Monotone (same nuetral head to toe)
Blanket coats (I think they look frumpy, but they're on the runways, so...)
Red & Pink
Peplum Jackets

Skinny jeans are still in. And they aren't about to leave any time soon. They've become a denim staple.

can some one proofreading my two page essays?
Q. Womenâs Outwear

A woman asks the question âWhich woman clothes can be appropriate for age and size to wear?â Some researchersâ claims that the each store will have for each different size for young adults, ladies, and the elderly for cape, jacket, and coat so the women could feel comfortable when keeping themselves warm.

The Victorian cape, Metropolitan Walking cape and Evening Cape are three categories of Capes. First, Victorian Cape is sleeveless garment often tied around the neck and hang over the shoulder. The Victorian has a midriff length capelet with an upright collar. The young lady as well as an adult has many different reasons to wear a Victorian coat. For, example, the Victorian cape is warm and comfortable on cold moonlit nights and crisp winter days.
Secondly, the Metropolitan Walking Capes are sleeveless garment often hang over the shoulder. Metropolitan Walking Capes can use for elderly as well as an adult who doesnât like to wear a jacket. The cape is thick and cold. The cape made of 100% merino wool (lined) and 100% cashmere (lined). It is heavy weight. The garment can use to go to mall or to the subway. When the rain comes, the garment has a hood to cover their head.
Finally, the young lady wears an Evening capes to a meeting or traveling the world. These capes may be short (over the shoulders or to the waist) or a full-length cloak . They donât have to worry about hair. The Evening cape helps them to prevent the rain because the hood will cover their head. The Evening cape is useful for go theater or to the dinner. The three categories of cape can be use for fall and winter. They donât have to worry about winter or fall because the cape has heavy weight.
The young adult have to wear warm snow jacket also for winter and fall. . Jacket is a lightweight, thigh-or waist-length coat that may be worn by young ladies and adult. It helps them to prevent water or snow going through the body. For example, a jacket can be useful to go to Snow Mountain for skied, or walking to the snow, or ice skating.
Finally, Abercrombie and Fitch Candace Women's Fur Bomber Jacket is supper soft and comfortable wearing for winter. It is 100% cotton and luxury with Faux fur lined body. The fur hoodie can be removable with two ways zippers styles Abercrombie. The coat is for a young lady.
The young girl and adult wear outerwear coat to make them beautiful when they are going to Snow Mountain or ice-skating. The outerwear could be light or heavy weight but they could put two sweater on over the coat or, cape or, or jacket to keeping themselves warm.

A. sure!(please get 10 points!)

I don't really see anything wrong with it.

I would change "Finally, Abercrombie and Fitch...." to "In conclusion,Abercrombie and Fitch...." because you wouldn't want to use the word "finally" twice. Remember to indent when you start a new paragraph since I don't see any indentation in this.

Its a good essay and very interesting! If I was grading this,I would give it a 4+ or a A+! Good luck!

How much do I need to invest to start skiing???

Posted by bibou

Q. I llive only 30 minutes from Mt. Hood and I want to learn how to ski, I only have gloves and that's it! I have Levis but don't want to get laughed off the hill. How much sould I expect to pay and where should I start?..Thank you

A. Well now is a good time to go shopping, because a lot of places will have end of season sales.
Skis and bindings: $300 and up
Boots:$100+ (make sure they feel good)
Snow Pants: $30+
Jacket: $50 for a cheap one, $100+ for a better one
Goggles: $20+ (important)

So you are looking at over $500 for gear at the least. You can easily spend twice that depending on the gear you choose. Then you also need to get the pass to the mountain.
Just start sopping around some ski shops and comparing prices.

Any Disadvantages for using a Ski suit as on outfit?
Q. Im looking to buy a ski suit since it would save be from buying jacket and a pants since i found one used for cheaper. Are there any disadvantages for using them?

A. Let's just say that growing up on a number of ski teams, we had a whole variety of names for people who wore the one pieces. None of them were nice.

Besides, a one piece will always be more limited in your mobility than a separate pant / jacket combo. I tried skiing bumps once in a one piece and gave myself the wedgie from hell.

What is a nice pair of ski pants?
Q. I'm looking for a nice pair of ski pants, but without going over my budget! $60 at MOST. I'm being cheap because my spyders ripped. Any good brands or ideas?

A. You could easily spend a few hundred dollars on good ski pants. If you want to keep it under $60, you should probably go with columbia. They usually offer pretty good quality for the price. I've been using columbia pants for a while cause i do a lot of tree skiing so I don't want to spend a lot of money on pants that are going to get shredded by the end of the season.

Does anyone know where i can buy cheap or use cross country ski pants?
Q. I want pants that are preferably the Swix brand or any other ski brand:)

A. Try TJ MAXX first off......and then go for stores like REI, Christi Sports, or something!

How much does skiing equipment cost?
Q. Can you rent it? If so, how much is it usually? I'm going on a skiing trip with my friend in late January and my family is low on money, so I'm trying to earn the money to make it work. Also, what other gear do I need (hats, gloves, etc)? I'm not sure where we're going for it.

A. Unfortunately, for the beginner skier, a ski trip of any length will cost you about $75-$100 a day for tickets and rentals. Try to pre-buy the tickets. Multiple day tickets purchased at the same time generally are cheaper and off-resort rentals are sometimes $10-$15 less than the resort rental shop. Find out where you are going and try to get the ticket prices off the website.

Gore-Tex gloves and pants are expensive. You can get several pairs of less expensive fleece gloves and swap out gloves if yours get soaked. Put Sno-Seal (beeswax) on some leather gloves and that will work too. Carhartt also makes a leather, waterproof glove that is a lot cheaper than a high-end Gore-Tex skiing glove. Mittens are always warmer than gloves.

Water resistant ski pants can be gotten for under $60 and you can pick up some decent ski socks at backcountry.com. A lot of styles are 50% off.

I am a male who loves to wear tight spandex lycra. Is this ok?

Posted by bibou

Q. Just wondering if it's okay for a male to wear leggings, bike shorts etc ? A lot of women wear lycra, especially swimsuits, capri pants and leggings and I want to do the same. Thanks
I'm not getting much support here !! Does anyone want to see me in smooth and shiny and tight lycra spandex?

A. Well personally, I LOVE seeing people express themselves differently. Not meaning necessarily that everyone will ENJOY seeing you in spandex, but many will enjoy that you're being different and not caring what anyone thinks. I really like it when people wear what they want to, thats just a different way of showing your personality. If someone doesn't like the way you dress, move on, they're obviously so superficial that they can't accept unique people! I say GO for it, and have FUN! =]

Hope I helped!! <333

how can i make my mom let me wear a dress without leggings?
Q. :( she's so old fashioned.

A. Your mum is probably saying this because she wants to encourage modesty. I'm pretty sure the fashion of leggings with a tunic/dress is on its way out. I often wear spandex type shorts (look for thin material with delicate seams rather than bike shorts) underneath dresses. They range from boycut panties to knee length and do not show below the hem unless your skirt flies up, you sit akwardly etc. I find them comfortable and I don't want to flash someone accidentally. There are silky ones for evening dresses too.

You may be able to allay some of your mother's fears by choosing dresses/skirts that aren't more than a hand's width above your knee (anything above that usually isn't very classy anyways). I'd mention to your mother that your maturing, you will act ladylike when wearing skirts (instead of doing cartwheels like when you were eight). Its a natural part of growing up. I'd also take the time to rediscover all the different types of pantyhose and tights available in every pattern, fabric, and style. I like thicker tights in the winter, and in colors like royal blue, forest green, or patterned with a charcoal skirt. Its warm and a more elegant look than the capri length tights. Your mum maybe happy with sheer pantyhose, however thats probably too dressy for day to day.

You could try ripping out magazine photos of girls in skirts that look modest and age-appropriate, fashion forward without tights. Try cosmogirl, teen vogue, and girl's life. Most important when wearing down a parent to your point a view is don't lose your cool when they first say no. Throwing a hissy fit doesn't prove that your a young woman who can dress herself, continue to bring evidence and don't push the envelope too much at a time. Small steps can bring parents around without them noticing.

Good luck.

What were those pants that women wore a couple of years ago?
Q. they were like spandex pants/yoga pants today

but they were still tight in the butt and then they just hung and were baggy at the knee

they are like the opposite of MCHammer's parachute pants
they had a certain name
they were tight in the butt area like yoga pants or spandex or leggings, but they would get more loose and baggy as they got to the knee

A. Capri pants?

how do you distinguish footless tights and leggings?
Q. are they the same thing or are they different?

A. Most of the time they're the same thing, such as for sports tights/leggings, and most of the women's fashion leggings. But while footless tights are ankle length, some of the fashion leggings may be shorter, like capri length. Also, sometimes leggings can have more of a close fit than a skintight stretch fit. For example, the description of this men's underwear calls them leggings: http://store.americanapparel.net/rsa4402.html I think if footless tights are what you want to talk about, it's best to call them that to avoid confusion.

As far as materials go, footless tights can also be made out of different kinds of materials, so I don't think that's a good way to distinguish them.

what if a guy were to wear capri and leggings under his shorts?
Q.

A. If you can pull it off that is pretty gangsta. Im not sure everyone could though. Never wear white leggings though. No one, man or woman, ever should. It is not flattering.

Does anyone no where a good ski jacket is that is loose but not super baggy?

Posted by bibou

Q. I'm getting a new ski jacket and i need a jacket that fits well but not baggy, not like 500 dollars or acteryx( way to expensive), preferably Oakley

A. I've noticed a lot of people actually wearing burton jackets that ski, just for pure comfort and if you are willing to go that direction I would recommend the Burton 3/2 it's has a stylish look without being ridiculous and it's also on sale for a good price right now.

The link to that and some others: http://www.the-house.com/sntp-burton.html

If you are set on Oakley, I recommend the Air Raid which i've personally used (http://www.oakley.com) and for a more affordable price the Oakley Infantry Jacket (http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Oakley-Infantry-Jacket-Mens/OAK1754M.html?CMP_ID=SH_FRO001&CMP_SKU=OAK1754&mv_pc=r126) it has a cleaner look while showing you have a knowledge of what to wear for functionality and style.

What type of clothes should I buy to go to a ski resort?
Q. I'm thinking about going to a ski resort as a graduation present for myself this December. But I am from Texas and am not used to cold weather. In detail what is essential to have that I should start buying now?

Thanks

A. 1. Good socks and undergarments. NOT COTTON!!! Smartwool or similar for socks. Bergeline, Tekwik or similar for undergarments.

2. Goretex jacket and pants. Could be lined or not. Maybe a zip out liner. Kjus, Cloud Veil, Arcteryx, North Face, Mountain Hardware, Columbia are some good, popular brands. I tend to go with a shell type jacket and wear a medium weight fleece jacket under. Similar with pants.

3. Turtle fur or similar hat and neck gaiter (gaiter for colder days).

4. Gloves or mittens. Swany and Reusch are good brands.

5. Goggles and glasses. Smith, Oakley, Bolle, Scott are good brands.

Reputable brands for ski jackets and sallopettes?

Marmot (great value!)
Westcomb (started by former Arc'teryx employees)
Salomon
Cloudveil
The North Face
66 North
Burton

Oakley
Sessions
Spyder

What are some cool brands for ski gear?
Q. I just got back into skiing last year, it was kind of a last minute thing so i didnt go get cool gear. I just used my normal winter jacket and a pair of standard black snow pants i found cheap at a local sports store. I am looking for a coat and a pair of snow pants.
My skis are red, white and black. They are K2 Public Enemy skis.
What are some cool brands, and could you maybe post some links?
Thanks!

A. There are so many sick ski wear brands out there now. I really like Oakley, Armada, Salomon, Burton, 686... you can really get away with wearing anything on the slopes. Just don't get too matchy, matchy - its the best way to look like a beginner.

I am a male who loves to wear tight spandex lycra. Is this ok?

A. Capri pants?

suggest nice clothes to wear at work for 23 to 28 year old woman?

Posted by bibou

Q. plus size preferable
i don't know if the fashion is different for people in medical field? Do lady doctors/hospital staff dress differently from people in other professions? Do student doctors/residents dress differently from the attending?
also what about makeup?
savanna c,
i like the pant suit idea, but can u tell me or describe what an undershirt is? because i always assumed undershirt is something that you wear under a shirt like underwear.

A. Im not even at the right age to work but im really into style! I believe the greatest and easiest thing to wear to almost any business feild is nice womens suit pants (with a little flare) preferebly black. And a long sleeve suit type coat (matching fabric) with a button in the middle or buttons that start from the midsection of your tummy down. (i think the buttons that start from the middle down are slimming) Have the suit black so that way your under shirt that could have "nice" appearance could be any color! Like white if you want to be more business like or hot pink or orange if you want to seem like a fun bubbly person and colors that would give people a first impression on you (: and try another undershirt with lace at the bottom to go under your first undershirt, that always looks nice!
Oh and for shoes go with "ballerina" flats or a medium size heel maybe black with a little hint of the color undershirt youre wearing.
A medium - high heel would be slimming if thats what your looking for but try to ditch those low 1 - 2 inch heels

cute flats would completment your personality!

I hope i helped! (:
good luck

what do you have stored away for emergencies?
Q. my brother and i got into a conversation on the topic of emergencies, like earthquakes, and if we have anything stored away. i eventually want to get a space just for that, to store things like batteries, flashlights, water and canned foods. what else should i store? what do you have stored away in your emergency closet?
pron? oh, you're a smart one, aren't you?

A. How long an emergency are you talking about preparing for? 2 days? 2 weeks? 2 months? 2 years?

It makes a difference. We have two years food storage in our pantry, for three adults, at a 5000 calorie a day diet. We can also purify our own drinking water, heat/cook with a wood stove, and we have our "living pantry" which includes a large garden, fruit/nut orchards, dairy goats, meat goats and sheep, chickens, etc.

I'm going to assume you want to get through a big crisis, in your local area (not nation-wide). You have to look at Hurricane Katrina for your example.

What is the primary need as a human being? The answer is air. You do not seem to be concerned about biological attack. As long as you don't live near volcanoes, air is probably a mute point.

Second most important need for humans? Water. You can store two months worth of water. You need 1 gallon per day, per person. This ONLY provides water for drinking and cooking. Not washing yourself, clothes, plates, etc. If you live in a hot climate, store more.

More importantly have ways to purify your own drinking water. We capture rainwater off our roof and purify it on a daily basis. Have several methods on hand. I HIGHLY recommend you purchase a Big Berkey. Have other methods as well. Do not purchase bottles of bleach, put them on the shelf, and forget about them, believing you will have the method to sterilize water forever. After about six months, bleach breaks down to little more than salt water. Old bleach will NOT provide you with safe clean water.

Humans third most important need is a tie. Shelter and heat (usually fire in an emergency situation). Both keep you in place and safe from moving around doing stupid things. It's also good for moral to have both shelter and fire. So a camping stove which runs on the white gas canisters is great for cooking (DO NOT USE INSIDE/carbon monoxide). A tent large enough for your entire family is also good. Remember if your house is damaged (like all the windows blown out), but still structurally safe, you can pitch the tent inside your house. Just clean up any glass, and pitch the tent. Everyone sleeping together will be safer and warmer.

Fire extinguishers, ultra important post disasters
Long burning candles
matches
LED head lamp flashlights. The batteries last a long time, and both your hands are free, since they are on your head. We use them all the time on our farm. They are cheap too, buy lots.
Food you can cook with little effort, which your family is use to. A crisis is NOT the time to spring dehydrated split pea soup on your family.
Any medications your family takes on a regular basis
Prescription eye glasses for anyone who wears glasses or contacts. I say glasses too, NOT more contacts. Glasses can be put on RIGHT NOW in an emergency.
Hand crank radio
Solar charger, for your cell phones
Good sturdy leather gloves for cleaning up dangerous debris.
Bicycles can get through most disasters if you have to leave your home. Plus you can lift them over things, unlike a larger motorcycle.
Copies of all documents to prove who you are, and what you owned (marriage, birth, insurance, social security, etc) You should also have a current list of phone numbers of all family/friends. If your cell phones dies you probably don't have those numbers memorized.
Rugged farm type jeans, boots, and coats.
Womens Kotex and pressure bandages (like ace bandages) so you can stop bleeding on a wound.
Wool blankets, wool retains 80% of its heat keeping abilities even soaking wet, and can be used to put someone out, if their clothes catch on fire. Modern synthetic blankets would melt to them, and make it much worse.
Tweezers, of many different sizes and shapes to pluck large objects like glass shards out, and really fine splinters.
I recommend Dr. Bronner's mint soap. It has natural antibacterial properties. You can wash yourself with it, brush your teeth with it, and wash your plates with it.
Have disposable plates and silverware on hand, so you don't need so much water.
Bottles of eyewash are very important.
Anti-diarrheal medication and pain relivers
Have children? Brand new coloring books, quiet games, and soft toys will go a long way toward their mental state.
Garbage bags. You can wear them as a poncho, and you will need a LOT of them, until garbage service picks back up.
Two really good can openers (in case one breaks, gets lost, ect)

If you want more ideas, send me an email, and I'll direct you to some very good food storage/emergency prep groups.

What is a cute winter outfit to wear to a kegget?
Q. I am going to this big party tomorrow. It's going to be like between 40s and 30 s outside but inside I'm sure hot. What is something wintery but won't j
Keep me hot during beet pong. Nothing tight on stomach!!

A. Well, I am not sure if you want a dressy outfit or if you want a casual outfit so I will just make you one of each. :)

DRESSY OUTFIT

I like this dress. It is really cute plus since you have a bit of a tummy this will hide it well and black is slimming. :) link-----> http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat1320034&productId=prod630185

Wear a pair of grey tights underneath. You may already have a pair but if you don't they are easy to find. I'm not gonna put a link because I am sure you know what grey tights look like and they are all pretty much the same. :)haha They have them at Forever 21, American Eagle, and tons of other stores. :)

For shoes wear a pair of short grey boots. You can wear these if you want a flat boot, link-----> http://www.shoestation.com/Rampage/Rampage-BECKETT-Grey-Suede/PAMPIAFAGKHADKHD/3165-3274/Product
or these if you are short and want to add height or if you just prefer heels. link---> http://www.shoestation.com/Rampage/Rampage-JUNIPER-Grey-Suede/PAMPIAOKFLHLBJIF/3165-3274/Product

Then add some cute jewelry. I personally would add some light pink or royal blue, but that's just me. :) Look a Forever 21, American Eagle, and Charlotte Russe. Those are my favorite places to get jewelry. :)

They for a jacket wear a grey pea coat or you could wear one that is the same color as your jewelry. They are really cute and in right now. :) They have some at aeropostal that are 70% off. I got one for $30 and it was originally $100!!!

CASUAL OUTFIT

I LOVE this shirt. Plus it is flowwy so it will hide a slightly pudgy stomach. link----> http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90102&productId=2350_5379

I would wear these jeans. I love them!! :D link-----> http://www.abercrombie.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&catalogId=10901&productId=733131&langId=-1&categoryId=12290

I would wear these shoes. I love toms and they are for a GREAT cause plus they are good if you have big feet because they make your feet look really tiny. I wear a size 5 and my feet look uber small when I wear them. :)haha link----> http://www.toms.com/womens/black-glitters-shoes

For a jacket I would just wear a pea coat or a north face jacket.

Also add cute jewelry. I have that shirt and it looks good with blue jewelry. :) Have fun!!:)

Where can I buy CUTE fairly cheap jeans?
Q. I buy jeans in juniors, but I can also fit in the small sizes in womens. I just need to know where to buy jeans that are actually CUTE! I like the thick stitching and especially cute pockets - you know with jewels or whatever. But I only buy designer jeans at consignment shops. The jeans have to be under $25. I know that Maurices has some jeans on clearance sometimes for like $25...and they're jeans are cute. So, anyone know what stores have cute jeans for a decent price? Thanks in advance, everyone! :)

A. Try Kohls, Target, Old Navy, Maurices, Rue 21, and especially, Burlington Coat Factory! BCF has some super cute stuff that is REALLY cheap! I've gotten hot pink skinny jeans with jewels on the pockets for less than ten dollars. They have sizes from juniors to women's to plus sizes. I'm absolutely certain you can find adorable jeans there for much less than twenty-five dollars. Wal-Mart can have okay stuff... But check there only as your very last resort.

Have fun shopping! (:
